Bloc Focus — study music + session timer
Effective 24 August 2026

Bloc Focus is built to respect your attention and your privacy. We collect as little as possible: your sessions, stats and settings are held on your device only. What the app does send is named below rather than buried — purchases go through RevenueCat, and a short list of anonymous product events goes to PostHog. This policy explains what we handle and why.

Provider: ikibook studio  ·  Contact: workoutplayapp@gmail.com

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. None. The app has no sign-up, no account and no text field anywhere — there is nothing for you to type and nothing for us to receive.

Stored locally on your device (never sent to our servers): your preferences and session data — chosen sound and session length, custom lengths, daily and weekly focus minutes, streak, day count, and settings such as ADHD-friendly mode and the streak-shaming toggle. This lives in the app's local storage and is removed when you delete the app.

Purchases (only if you buy). Payments are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your payment-card details. To manage your entitlement we use RevenueCat, which receives a randomly generated app-user identifier, your purchase status, and basic device and platform information. It is used solely to know whether your Premium access is active.

Audio delivery. When you play audio, the app requests audio files and a catalog from a content delivery network (currently jsDelivr, and archive.org for seed tracks). These providers may log standard technical request data — IP address, timestamp, user-agent — as a normal part of delivering files. We do not use this to identify you.

Product analytics. The app sends a short list of anonymous events to PostHog, hosted in the EU: a session starting (which preset, which sound, and how many minutes were planned), a focus block finishing (how many minutes, and whether the app ended it automatically), passing ten focused minutes for the first time in a run (how many minutes), a session ending (how it ended, how many blocks and minutes it held, which preset, and your auto-stop setting), skipping a track (which sound, and which direction), changing a setting (which setting and its new value), reaching the daily free limit (at which point in the flow), tapping a locked session length (which one), opening the upgrade screen, and completing a purchase (which plan). PostHog assigns a random identifier so those events can be counted per install. No name, email, account, advertising identifier, location or device contact data is attached, and automatic screen capture and session replay are switched off — only the events listed here are sent. We use them to answer product questions such as whether the free daily session is long enough, and nothing else.

We have no control over, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of these third parties; their handling of data is governed by their own policies.

5. Data retention

6. Children

Bloc Focus is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age in your country, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Your rights

Because most data is stored only on your device, uninstalling the app deletes it. Depending on where you live — for example the EEA and UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA — you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them. For purchase-related data, contact us at the address above or use your Apple or Google account controls. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

8. Security

We minimise the data we handle. Network requests use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but because we do not operate user accounts and do not store your personal data on a server, the exposure surface is intentionally small.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves — for example when a new event is added to the list in section 1, or a third party is added or dropped. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
